Welcome to the Family…

The 1XV:

The top team in the Club, the 1XV is the banner carrying side and plays at a good standard of Rugby in Surrey Counties 3 (the old ‘London Leagues’). The first team is a focussed league competition side playing expansive and exciting open rugby to strong technical patterns of coaching and skill enhancement. At the same time, the ethos of the Club, its strength in camaraderie and the social side is not lost, so If you want to feel challenged and be driven to be the best player you can be and yet still enjoy your sport and make friendships that will last a lifetime, this is the right place.

The Legends (2XV):

The second team is the vital hub and backbone of the Club. It is not only a feeder and rotation side to the 1XV, it also plays competitive rugby to a high standard in the Surrey Leagues. It is a key foundation platform for the two sides, is the introduction for new players and has the ability to welcome all standards of player and enable them to improve, fit into the squad, hone skills and playing systems and crucially be properly introduced to what it means to become an Exile.

The Emperors (Veterans/3XV):

The Emperors are an eclectic bunch! They range from long term veterans of the Club, who have played many a season at the Exiles, to new ‘elder’ joiners, who have come back to rugby perhaps in mid-age as kids grow older and / or players who are young vets, but no longer want to train and play with the Legends. A class act for changing room and post-match banter, social drinking and high jinks, this lot also love to mix with the 1’s and Legends in the Pub, after all, we are a family.
